What can I use the bestsmile app for?
The bestsmile app supports you with useful information and smart features – before, during and after treatment. It helps you monitor your progress and reminds you to change and wear your aligners with push notifications.
How can I register in the bestsmile app?
Download the bestsmile app from the AppStore (Apple) or the PlayStore (Android) . After starting your treatment, you can simply click on “Activate account” and register with your e-mail address. Please make sure to register with the same e-mail address that you used in your bestsmile practice. Confirm your e-mail address, choose your password and off you go.
I cannot register in the bestsmile app, what should I do?
Make sure to click on “Activate account”. You need to register with the e-mail address you have previously used at your bestsmile practice.
If you are not sure which e-mail address you used or you would like to change your contact e-mail address, simply contact your bestsmile practice.

How can I change my password in the bestsmile app?
In your profile, select the menu item “Login and Security” and then “Password”. Enter your old password first and then your new one. Confirm the new password and complete the process by clicking on “Change password”. When choosing your password, make sure to use special characters.
I have forgotten my password for the bestsmile app, how can I reset it?
Click on “I forgot my password” on the login screen. Enter your e-mail address and request a new password. Now you will receive a link by e-mail with which you can set a new password.
Can I start using the bestsmile app during treatment?
Even if you have already started your treatment, you can start using the bestsmile app. Simply register with the e-mail address you provided to your bestsmile practice.
To set your current treatment progress, select “Adjust aligner step” in the menu item “Your aligners”.
What is the time tracking feature in the bestsmile app for?
Time tracking helps you wear your aligners 22 hours a day. Start the timer when you wear your aligners and pause it when you take them out. This way you will always stay on track.
Where can I find my treatment plan in the bestsmile app?
Go to the menu item “Your treatment” and click on “Treatment plan” in the top right-hand corner and then on “Show plan”. Please make sure that you have an internet connection.
I have to switch aligners, what should I do in the bestsmile app?
The app reminds you when it’s time to switch aligners. Click on “Switch aligner” and confirm the entry. If you need to extend the wear time, you can set a reminder for a later date/time.
What can I do if my treatment progress is not shown correctly in the bestsmile app?
You can adjust the start date or the aligner step manually at any time: in the menu item “Your aligners”, click on “Adjust aligner step” and choose the correct aligner. Here you can also adjust the start date of the aligner step.
What should I do if I forgot to pause the timer in the bestsmile app?
Click on “Show all” in the top right-hand corner of the menu item “Activity” – here you can adjust your current wear time.
I don’t get notifications on my smartphone to wear my aligners. What should I do?
Go to your smartphone settings and make sure that the bestsmile app is allowed to send you push notifications.
You can set how often the app sends you reminders by clicking on “Notifications” in the top right of your profile.
For the break reminder to work, keep the app open in the background during the break.
